Product description
The drilling rig is a universal device designed for earthworks
This very useful farm machine is used for quickly digging holes in the ground. It saves time, and the results are much more satisfactory than digging by hand. An earth auger is a device that requires power from a tractor or other machine equipped with a PTO shaft. The auger is mounted on the tractor's three-point linkage.
How does a drilling rig work?
The device is designed for digging vertical holes. The auger itself is a replaceable part. If necessary, it is possible to purchase a separate auger with a larger or smaller diameter. The digging depth is the range at which the tractor's three-point linkage operates.
What is a tractor earth auger used for?
- for digging holes for planting plants, trees and shrubs,
- for loosening the soil for planting,
- for drilling holes for fence posts,
- for drilling holes during afforestation,
- for digging holes for construction piling.
The 4FARMER tractor - mounted earth auger allows for digging depths of up to 100 cm. The auger diameter in this model is 25 cm. Additionally, the HHDM L50 model offers three-stage tilt angle adjustment. This version of the auger is equipped with hydraulics. A hydraulic cylinder increases the pressure when working in rocky or very hard soils.
Before starting work with an auger , it's important to assess the soil's density and stickiness. It's important to remember that the soil shouldn't be too compact, the auger must be cleared, and the auger must be directed vertically downward. When choosing an auger, consider that more turns result in greater digging depth, but also create greater resistance and require more tractor power.
*PTO shaft is included in the kit.
