Fuel tanks

The fuel tank in a tractor is a key element of the fuel system that stores the fuel needed to run the engine. The capacity of the fuel tank depends on the model and size of the tractor. Typical agricultural tractors may have tanks with a capacity of several dozen to several hundred liters.

Material:

  • Plastics (plastic): Increasingly popular due to its corrosion resistance, light weight and ability to be formed into various shapes.

Capacity:

  • Small tractors: Tanks with a capacity of 20-50 liters.
  • Medium tractors: Tanks with a capacity of 50-150 liters.
  • Large tractors: Tanks with a capacity of 150-400 liters or more.

Location:

The fuel tank is usually placed in a safe place to minimize the risk of damage. It may be located:

  • Under the cabin.
  • On the sides of the tractor frame.
  • In the rear of the tractor.
