V-belts are indispensable elements in the tractor drive system. They are used to transfer power from the engine's crankshaft to various components, such as the alternator, water pump, fan or air conditioning compressor.

Features of V-belts:

• Power Transmission: V-belts transfer power from the engine's crankshaft to other components, ensuring they function properly.
• Driving components: V-belts are responsible for driving components such as the alternator, water pump, radiator fan and air conditioning compressor.
• Regulation of component operation: They ensure proper synchronization of the operation of various engine components, which is crucial for its effective operation.

Common problems with V-belts:

• Wear and cracks: V-belts may wear, crack or chafe due to prolonged use, high temperature or excessive load.
• Loosening: Over time, belts can stretch and loosen, causing them to slip and reduce power transmission efficiency.
• Mechanical damage: Belts may be damaged due to contact with sharp edges, dirt, oil or other contaminants.

Maintenance of V-belts:

• Regular inspection: Regularly check the condition of the V-belts for wear, cracks, stretching or other damage. Also check their tension and correct setting.
• Cleaning: Keep V-belts and the areas in which they operate clean. Remove dirt, oil and other contaminants that may affect their performance.
• Timely replacement: V-belts have a finite lifespan and should be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommendations, even if they show no visible signs of wear.
