Their main task is to ensure tightness between moving or stationary parts of machines, which is crucial for the proper functioning and longevity of the devices.

Types of sealants:

• Shaft Seals: Placed on rotating shafts in bearings, engines, gears and other mechanical equipment to prevent oil or grease leaks.
• Ring seals: Used in combustion engine cylinders to ensure tightness between the piston and the cylinder wall, which is crucial for the engine's efficiency.
• Flat sealants: Used between two flat surfaces to prevent leaks between them, for example in pipe joints or device housings.
• Static and dynamic seals: Static seals are used in areas where parts do not move relative to each other, while dynamic seals are used in areas where one part moves relative to another (e.g. shafts, pistons).
