Rollers

The steering rack shaft is a key component of the steering system that connects the steering wheel to the steering gear. Its main task is to transfer the rotational motion from the steering wheel to the steering gear, which in turn translates this motion into the turning of the vehicle's wheels.

Steering gear shaft functions:

• Motion Transfer: The steering gear shaft transfers the movement of the steering wheel, allowing the steering mechanism to convert the rotation of the steering wheel into the turning motion of the wheels.
• Flexibility of movement: often equipped with joints that allow for flexible movement and adapt to changes in the angle and movement of the vehicle's suspension. This ensures smooth and efficient steering action.
• Adjustability: On some vehicles, the shaft may be adjustable, allowing you to adjust its length or angle, which can be useful when adjusting the steering system.

Materials and Construction: The steering gear shaft is typically made of durable materials such as steel or aluminum to withstand heavy loads and long-term use.

Inspection and maintenance: Regular inspection of the steering gear shaft is important to ensure that the steering system is functioning properly. Shaft wear or damage can lead to play, difficult steering and reduced ride comfort.

The steering gear shaft is therefore a key component that ensures effective and precise vehicle control, thus influencing driving safety and comfort.
