Stiga SCM 240 R hand mower
Manual lawn mowers are devices that only need your hands and your strength to start. These are very light and mobile machines suitable for a small lawn area.
Thanks to the fact that they do not need any fuel, and their working range is not limited by the length of the cable or battery life, we can mow the lawn in any place and reach every even small corner of the garden.
The method of mowing the lawn can be compared to precise cutting with scissors. The cutting system consists of five knives mounted on a transverse axis that rotates with the rotation of the road wheels. This design of the cutting device allows for accurate and even cutting without jags.
The mowed turf does not get sick and does not turn brown, which additionally has a very positive effect on the condition and aesthetics of our lawn. In the SCM 240 R mower, we also have the ability to smoothly adjust the cutting height using a double adjustment lever. Thanks to this, we can quickly choose between three cutting heights from 25-60 mm. The working width of the SCM 240 R hand mower is 40 cm, which, with the additionally low weight of 10.5 kg, guarantees free and pleasant work.
The so-called cylindrical mower has five cylindrical blades set at an angle, which guarantees a precise cut of the lawn. In addition, the Stiga mower is equipped with a rear roller, it is designed to smooth the grass to achieve the effect of an even surface. For operator comfort, the steering wheel can be adjusted to the operator's height.
The company, founded in Sweden, initially produced sports equipment for table tennis and hockey. In 1954, the company started producing engine lawn mowers, and in the following years Stiga expanded its product range to include garden tractors and petrol lawn mowers.

In 2000, the Italian manufacturer of lawn mowers and garden tools, Castelgarden, as well as Alpina, an Italian factory of tractors, mowers and chainsaws, also joined the Stiga group. Currently, Stiga products can be found in over 80 countries around the world, including: in Australia, Venezuela, Zambia and Taiwan.
