How to choose a tire?

Properly selected tires allow for maximum use of the tire's driving properties and translate into better use of the tractor's power. A properly selected tire should be in contact with the ground surface with the entire tread face. Low-profile tires are recommended for large machines used mainly for transport on even and long sections, while high-profile tires are recommended for small and medium-sized machines, where driving characteristics require the use of narrow-width tires.

Improperly selected tires may damage the tire or machine or create a danger to people and animals, and may affect work comfort and operation, e.g. fuel consumption. Maintaining proper tire pressure allows for optimal use of tire driving properties, machine power and extends their life.

What size tire?

Tire sizes are most often given in inches (inch; abbreviation or symbol: in or ″) and are a series of numbers and letters indicating the tire width, profile height and construction type, tread type and rim diameter. A 22 x 11-10 tire is a tire:

• 22 - outer diameter,
• 11 - tire width,
• 10 - rim diameter.
