Product description

Thanks to the possibilities of modern production of agricultural machines , as well as the progress of technology, work on laying lawns or caring for soil for sowing is becoming less burdensome and more automated. For owners of larger cultivated areas or gardening companies, agricultural machines are invaluable because they allow you to save time and achieve better work efficiency.

In order to enjoy a beautiful, thick lawn or large crops of vegetables and fruits, proper soil preparation is very important. These works are primarily intended to make it fluffy, it cannot be too compact, but also not too light, and it is also necessary to ensure that it has the appropriate level of humidity and aeration. An important issue is to provide the appropriate amount of nutrients that ensure proper growth of plants. Nutrients include the content of humus in the soil.

The condition for success is proper preparation for such work. Unfortunately, manual preparation of the substrate takes a lot of time and effort, and can sometimes cause a lot of unforeseen complications. Hence, more and more people decide to buy a tiller .

How does a tiller work? What is the difference between a separation tiller and a regular tiller?

A rotavator is a machine that is connected to a tractor and is designed to mechanically dig, crumble and loosen the soil. Thanks to the operation of the tiller, we can remove the old lawn turf, dig up the soil, remove weeds, level the ground, while preparing for a new lawn or vegetable crops.

Thanks to the knives mounted on the rotating shaft, soil fragments are cut and shredded. The knives in the SBZ separator tiller rotate in the direction opposite to the direction of travel of the tractor. A very important element in the construction of a tiller are the stone separating rods. The direction of rotation of the knives causes the soil to be sifted through the above-mentioned system of rods, which act as a sieve, separating larger elements from small ones. The entire coarse fraction, such as stones, sticks, roots, and larger lumps of earth, land on the first lower layer of soil and are covered with crushed, properly prepared substrate.

Thanks to the rear shaft of the separation tiller, we regulate the working depth of the machine and at the same time obtain a leveled and compacted ground ready for further cultivation. This is a big advantage of the separation tiller and this is how it differs from a regular tiller.

The main use of the separation roller is to help in establishing lawns, it is also an ideal tool for leveling previously disturbed soil.

What else is unique about the SBZ separation tiller and seeder?

This machine has the option of minimal side shift , thanks to which we can further specify the positioning of the machine behind the tractor. In the case of tillers, a drive chain is used, which requires the use of a PTO shaft with protection, i.e. a breakaway wedge or a clutch to protect the tractor gears and the machine's transmission.

The SBZ 105 4FARMER separation tiller is simple in construction and solidly made. The tilting flap function makes it easier to keep the machine clean and provides better access to the main shaft of the knife axis.

Above the hinged flap on both sides of the machine there are two shock absorbing elements. When a larger stone or clod of earth gets under the teeth, these elements will protect the upper surface of the tiller against the impact of the rising, moving part of the machine.

Separation rotavator with seeder – an irreplaceable tillage unit!

The SBZ model is a tillage cultivator that allows for comprehensive execution of all earthworks. The seeder is equipped with a closed flap with seeder flap catches. They protect against uncontrolled opening of the flap and possible spilling of the spread product.

The seeder has a spreading adjustment mechanism. Closing or opening the holes located at the bottom of the seeder allows you to adjust the sowing intensity. The seeder shaft located inside the seeder rotates and distributes the sown product evenly, preventing clumping or clogging of the seeder holes.

If you are looking for a unit that combines all the elements for soil preparation and sowing, a separation tiller will definitely be the product for you!

Questions & Answers

How to choose a plow for the power of my mini tractor?

User

Correct selection of a plow for the power and weight of the tractor is key to effective plowing and protection of the drive system against overload. It is assumed that for each plow body (furrow) with a width of approx. 20-25 cm, a mini tractor should have a power of 8 to 12 HP, depending on the soil compactness. For machines with 15-20 HP, the optimal solution is usually a single-furrow plow, while units over 22-25 HP with 4x4 drive can handle a light two-furrow plow. It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.

What are the types of rototillers and which one will be best for my garden?

User

The choice of the right rototiller depends primarily on the type of planned work and the condition of the soil in your garden. A standard mounted rototiller installed on a three-point linkage (TUZ) is ideal for seasonal soil loosening and mixing with fertilizers. If you are establishing a new lawn on difficult, weed-infested terrain, the best choice will be a stone burier (separation rototiller), which, thanks to the reverse rotation of the blades, buries stones and plant residues deep under a layer of clean, sifted soil. For professional orchardists, a side rototiller (inter-row) is dedicated, allowing for precise cultivation right next to tree trunks. Regardless of the model, the heart of the machine is a durable angle gearbox and hardened cutting blades, which must be regularly checked for sharpness and tightness. The correct PTO speed (standard 540 rpm) ensures an optimal granular structure of the soil, which promotes better aeration and water retention. By investing in high-quality cultivation machinery, you can be sure that the preparation of the ground for crops will be fast, thorough, and will not excessively strain your compact tractor.

When is it worth using a flail mower instead of a rotary one?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
The key advantage of a flail mower (so-called mulcher) is its ability to work in extremely difficult conditions where a regular mower could fail. If you need to clear wasteland, tall grass, thickets, and even small branches in an orchard, a rear-mounted flail mower will be unrivaled. Equipped with heavy hammer-type flails, this machine not only cuts vegetation but also shreds it very thoroughly, leaving natural fertilizer on the surface in the form of mulch. This is a much safer solution in stony areas because the housing design holds debris inside the device. On the other hand, a standard rotary mower is better for well-kept lawns where an aesthetic appearance is desired. When choosing a tractor mower, pay attention to the working width – it should be slightly wider than the machine's wheelbase to avoid trampling uncut grass. Models from brands like Stark or Geograss also offer hydraulic shift, which facilitates maneuvering under tree canopies and near fences, making the Japanese mini tractor an even more versatile tool.
