Product description

The EFGC 155D 4FARMER flail mower, commonly known as a " mulcher ", is a flail mower with an opening outlet that will work well for mowing wastelands, meadows and pastures, weedy areas or corn harvest residues. It is definitely a product that will also fulfill its task in municipal companies when taking care of green areas.

The advantage is the possibility of opening the rear flap when mowing very overgrown areas. The mowed material will be less chopped up, but at the same time the tractor will not be subject to as much load as when working with the flap closed.

In what areas will this mower be used 100%?

  • brake,
  • barren,
  • roadsides,
  • orchards and plant nurseries,
  • weedy areas,
  • meadows, pastures,
  • removal of crop residues.

When you have a flail mower, it is very important to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This ensures that mowing will be effective and efficient.

A flail mower not only mows but also mulches the material being cut. What does it involve?

It is a technique of mowing grass/other organic materials and shredding the cut material so that it becomes a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. The advantage of mulching is also preventing soil erosion, slowing down weed growth and, importantly, getting rid of unwanted mowed grass, which is often an additional problem.

We can mulch grass and crop residues, thus reducing the amount of crop residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting it against pests that live, for example, in the stems of above-ground parts of plants.

The EFGC 155D 4FARMER flail mower (mulcher) has a cutting width of 155 cm. In addition to the working shaft equipped with spirally arranged shredding beaters, the mower also has a rear (copying) shaft. It allows you to adjust the cutting height and maintain the mower at the selected height. The drive from the tractor's power take-off shaft is 540 rpm.

When choosing a flail mower, it is very important to match the mower to the power and weight of our tractor. The EFGC 155D flail mower (mulcher) requires a minimum of 40 HP with a large tractor weight.

How to choose a plow for the power of my mini tractor?

Correct selection of a plow for the power and weight of the tractor is key to effective plowing and protection of the drive system against overload. It is assumed that for each plow body (furrow) with a width of approx. 20-25 cm, a mini tractor should have a power of 8 to 12 HP, depending on the soil compactness. For machines with 15-20 HP, the optimal solution is usually a single-furrow plow, while units over 22-25 HP with 4x4 drive can handle a light two-furrow plow. It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.
