Product description

Flail mower DP 205 4FARMER - a machine for special tasks!

DP 205 - commonly known as a "mulcher" is a massive flail mower that will work well for mowing wastelands, vines, thick grass, meadows and pastures. It is dedicated to mowing weedy, neglected areas, corn harvest residues. It is not afraid of sticks, bushes or thickets. It is definitely a product that will also fulfill its task in municipal companies when taking care of green areas, roadsides. It is characterized by a massive construction, solid drive, high-power gears, as well as exceptional durability of the blades.

The advantage is an additional cover to protect against dangerous elements falling from under the mower, e.g. stones. This mower has the possibility of side shifting, thanks to which we can additionally specify the positioning of the machine behind the tractor.

In what areas will this mower be used 100%?

  • brake,
  • barren,
  • roadsides,
  • orchards and plant nurseries,
  • weedy areas,
  • meadows,
  • pastures,
  • removal of crop residues.

When you have a flail mower, it is very important to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This ensures that mowing will be effective and efficient.

A flail mower not only mows but also mulches the material being cut. What does it involve?

It is a technique of mowing grass/other organic materials and shredding the cut material so that it constitutes a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. The advantage of mulching is also preventing soil erosion, slowing down the growth of weeds and, importantly, getting rid of unwanted mowed grass, which is often an additional problem. We can mulch grass, crop residues, thanks to which we reduce the amount of crop residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting against pests that live, for example, in the stems of above-ground parts of plants.

The DP 205 4FARMER flail mower (mulcher) has a cutting width of 205 cm, which is the smaller of the two available widths. In addition to the working shaft equipped with beaters that shred the material, the mower also has a rear (copying) shaft. It allows you to adjust the cutting height and maintain the mower at the selected height. Additionally, the machine has chains placed on the opposite side of the safety flap, which makes it ready for even the most difficult conditions.

The drive from the tractor PTO shaft is 540 rpm.

When choosing a flail mower, it is very important to match the mower to the power and weight of our tractor . The DP 205 flail mower (mulcher) requires a minimum of 80 HP with a large tractor weight.

Questions & Answers

How to choose a plow for the power of my mini tractor?

Correct selection of a plow for the power and weight of the tractor is key to effective plowing and protection of the drive system against overload. It is assumed that for each plow body (furrow) with a width of approx. 20-25 cm, a mini tractor should have a power of 8 to 12 HP, depending on the soil compactness. For machines with 15-20 HP, the optimal solution is usually a single-furrow plow, while units over 22-25 HP with 4x4 drive can handle a light two-furrow plow. It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.

What are the types of rototillers and which one will be best for my garden?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
The choice of the right rototiller depends primarily on the type of planned work and the condition of the soil in your garden. A standard mounted rototiller installed on a three-point linkage (TUZ) is ideal for seasonal soil loosening and mixing with fertilizers. If you are establishing a new lawn on difficult, weed-infested terrain, the best choice will be a stone burier (separation rototiller), which, thanks to the reverse rotation of the blades, buries stones and plant residues deep under a layer of clean, sifted soil. For professional orchardists, a side rototiller (inter-row) is dedicated, allowing for precise cultivation right next to tree trunks. Regardless of the model, the heart of the machine is a durable angle gearbox and hardened cutting blades, which must be regularly checked for sharpness and tightness. The correct PTO speed (standard 540 rpm) ensures an optimal granular structure of the soil, which promotes better aeration and water retention. By investing in high-quality cultivation machinery, you can be sure that the preparation of the ground for crops will be fast, thorough, and will not excessively strain your compact tractor.
