Crankshaft with a 75 mm diameter main journal for Kubota tractors with Kubota V3300 engines. The crankshaft is a key element of the combustion engine, responsible for converting the reciprocating motion of the pistons into rotary motion that drives the vehicle. In four-stroke engines, the crankshaft is usually hollow, which allows for effective lubrication of the connecting rod bearing and main journals using engine oil, which is pressed under pressure. In two-stroke engines, which are often lubricated with a fuel-oil mixture, the crankshaft has a full design, which allows for the installation of rolling bearings at the main and crank journals. The shafts in two-stroke diesel engines are constructed in a way similar to the shafts of four-stroke engines, i.e. they are hollow, which promotes their effective lubrication.
