As the name suggests, flail mowers are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails mounted on a cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at a specific speed, cutting anything above a pre-determined height.

The AGHKC flail mower, commonly known as a " mulcher ," is a heavy-duty mower with a side shift function. This adjustment is hydraulic. A flail mower not only cuts grass but also mulches it. How does it work?

This technique involves mowing grass and other organic materials and shredding the clippings to create a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. Mulching also has the advantage of preventing soil erosion, slowing weed growth, and, importantly, eliminating unwanted grass clippings, which often pose an additional problem.

We can mulch not only grass, but also crop residues, thus reducing the amount of crop residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting against pests that live, for example, in the stems of above-ground parts of plants.

The AGHKC 220 flail mower (mulcher) has a cutting width of 220 cm and is attached to the tractor with a three-point Cat II hitch. Additionally, it has the ability to open the flap, which reduces the load on the tractor when working with wet, dense grass, for example. This allows for three-way operation: with the flap closed or open – two ranges. The tractor's PTO drive is 540 rpm. The machine is equipped with a 12 cm thick roller. The AGHKC mower also features three-position adjustable skids (50 mm).

A noteworthy feature is the counterblades. The AGHKC model has 14 of them, adjustable in 5 positions.

Flail mower counterblades are a crucial component that enables effective shredding of various types of plant material. Equipped with a single row of interchangeable parts, they ensure simple maintenance and replacement, ensuring long-lasting performance. Thanks to this mechanism, the counterblades significantly facilitate the process of reducing the volume of mown vegetation, promoting faster decomposition and improving soil health.
