Product description

The AGHKC flail mower, commonly known as a " mulcher ," is a heavy-duty mower with a side shift function. This adjustment is hydraulic. This type of flail mower offers significant flexibility when working in more challenging terrain. This model allows you to operate the machine either from the side or behind the tractor. This product is definitely suitable for mowing wasteland, meadows, and heavily overgrown areas, as well as for municipal contractors maintaining areas near highways and expressways.

In what areas will this mower be used 100%?

  • roadsides,
  • meadows,
  • thickets, wastelands.

If you own a flail mower, it's crucial to regularly check the sharpness of the cutting mechanism. This ensures efficient and effective mowing.

A flail mower not only cuts grass but also mulches it. How does it work?

This technique involves mowing grass and other organic materials and shredding the clippings to create a natural fertilizer that fertilizes the soil. Mulching also has the advantage of preventing soil erosion, slowing weed growth, and, importantly, eliminating unwanted grass clippings, which often pose an additional problem.

We can mulch not only grass, but also crop residues, thus reducing the amount of crop residues, providing the soil with natural fertilizer and protecting against pests that live, for example, in the stems of above-ground parts of plants.

The AGHKC 180 flail mower (mulcher) has a cutting width of 180 cm and is attached to the tractor with a three-point Cat II three-point hitch. Additionally, it has the ability to open the flap, which reduces the load on the tractor when working with wet, dense grass, for example. This allows for three-way operation: with the flap closed or open – two ranges. The tractor's PTO drive is 540 rpm. The machine is equipped with a 12 cm thick roller. The AGHKC mower also features three-position adjustable skids (50 mm).

A noteworthy feature is the counterblades. The AGHKC model has 12 of them, adjustable in 5 positions.

Flail mower counterblades are a crucial component that enables effective shredding of various types of plant material. Equipped with a single row of interchangeable parts, they ensure simple maintenance and replacement, ensuring long-lasting performance. Thanks to this mechanism, the counterblades significantly facilitate the process of reducing the volume of mown vegetation, promoting faster decomposition and improving soil health.

Key information about the AGHKC model:

  • number of hydraulic cylinders: 2,
  • number of beaters: 16 pcs / mounting width 40mm, cutting width 137mm, weight 1140g,
  • number of strips: 4 pcs. / 17 x 1290 Li,
  • gear: 931187430R, 1:3, No. 06.

When choosing a flail mower, it's crucial to match the mower to the power and weight of your tractor. The AGHKC 180 flail mower (mulcher) requires a minimum of 70 hp for a heavy tractor.

How to choose a plow for the power of my mini tractor?

Correct selection of a plow for the power and weight of the tractor is key to effective plowing and protection of the drive system against overload. It is assumed that for each plow body (furrow) with a width of approx. 20-25 cm, a mini tractor should have a power of 8 to 12 HP, depending on the soil compactness. For machines with 15-20 HP, the optimal solution is usually a single-furrow plow, while units over 22-25 HP with 4x4 drive can handle a light two-furrow plow. It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.

What are the types of rototillers and which one will be best for my garden?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
The choice of the right rototiller depends primarily on the type of planned work and the condition of the soil in your garden. A standard mounted rototiller installed on a three-point linkage (TUZ) is ideal for seasonal soil loosening and mixing with fertilizers. If you are establishing a new lawn on difficult, weed-infested terrain, the best choice will be a stone burier (separation rototiller), which, thanks to the reverse rotation of the blades, buries stones and plant residues deep under a layer of clean, sifted soil. For professional orchardists, a side rototiller (inter-row) is dedicated, allowing for precise cultivation right next to tree trunks. Regardless of the model, the heart of the machine is a durable angle gearbox and hardened cutting blades, which must be regularly checked for sharpness and tightness. The correct PTO speed (standard 540 rpm) ensures an optimal granular structure of the soil, which promotes better aeration and water retention. By investing in high-quality cultivation machinery, you can be sure that the preparation of the ground for crops will be fast, thorough, and will not excessively strain your compact tractor.
