A flail mower is a type of rotary mower in which the cutting elements are flails that shred the mown plants. This mowing system was used in a flail forage cutter (often commonly called Orkan or rotor). The system in which the flails are a sharpened mass rotating on the cutting shaft is effective in mowing wasteland and roadsides. The machine speed is often higher than 3000 rpm. The design of the mower allows it to be connected both to the rear and front of the tractor, 3-point linkage , CAT I, required.
The AG140 flail mower is a so-called mulcher, designed for tractors with a minimum power of 35 HP . It is ideal for mowing wasteland, meadows, weedy crops, corn harvest residues as well as all types of green fodder. The working shaft equipped with flail hammers shreds the material and throws the ground material backwards. The mower has a hydraulic shift that allows the mower to be moved to the right or left of the tractor axle by approximately 250 mm.
