The hydraulic gear pump is a device responsible for the operation of the rear linkage, additional hydraulically operated equipment and in modern tractors the hydraulic pump is responsible for power steering. Using the hydraulic pump we can control additional functions of the agricultural trailer, flail mower, tiller or TUR front loader. The hydraulic pump works using the tractor's hydraulic system and is powered by the tractor's drive system (e.g. crankshaft). Hydraulic oil pressed into the pump goes to the high-pressure control valve, where the excess returns to the gearbox and then goes to the main distributor. Some hydraulic pumps may have additional sections, supplying the steering system with oil under increased pressure.
