Flail mowers have become a very interesting proposition for many of our customers. Some people call them "special task" mowers, because they can easily mow long grass or heavily overgrown areas. As the name suggests, flail mowers are mowers in which the mowing function is performed by flails placed on the cutting shaft. The cutting shaft rotates at the appropriate speed around its axis, shearing what is above the set height.

The flail mower is a type of rotary mower in which the cutting elements are flails shredding the mowed plants. This mowing system was used in a flail cutter for green fodder (often colloquially called Orkan or rotor). The system, in which the beaters are sharpened masses rotating on the cutting shaft, works well for mowing wasteland and roadsides. The machine's revolutions are often higher than 3000 rpm. The drive systems can be mechanical via a PTO shaft or hydraulic via a hydraulic motor.

The rear flail mower EFD is a flail mower designed for tractors from the power of about 80 HP. It is ideal for mowing wastelands, meadows, weeded crops, the remains of maize harvest as well as all kinds of green forage. The working shaft equipped with flail hammers shreds the material. The copying shaft (rear), on the other hand, holds the mower at the desired height. The cutting height can be adjusted with the copying shaft. The opening tailgate allows for additional spreading of the mown material at the expense of slightly worse chopping. Thanks to this, the tractor is less loaded than when working with a closed tailgate.
