The clutch disc is an element responsible for transferring power from the engine (crankshaft) to the gearbox (clutch shaft). The disc is made of a hub with a spline, which is mounted on the clutch shaft and a disc with springs with appropriately thick friction linings. The disc is pressed by the second clutch element, the pressure plate, using the friction force (no friction at the moment of power transfer) of these two elements, and sets the tractor in motion. The springs in the clutch discs are responsible for reducing vibrations generated during high rotational speeds prevailing during engine operation.

The first signs of clutch plate wear ( wear) are so-called clutch slippage , which makes it difficult or impossible to move the vehicle and consists in the fact that when increasing the engine speed, the tractor does not accelerate. The clutch plate may show signs of wear, even when it is dirty with oil. It is recommended to replace the plate together with the clutch pressure plate and the release bearing, because all these elements are of comparable durability and wear out at the same rate. Another sign of clutch plate wear is the inability to engage a gear.
