A skid for the left side of the 4FARMER flail mower. A skid with a total length of 525 mm , a height of 115 mm and a slide width of 40 mm . The metal thickness of the skid is 6 mm vertical element and 8 mm horizontal element.

In addition to the protective function of the mower housing, the skid regulates the cutting height and there are 4 skid heights . The skid is mounted to the mower housing from the inside of the box with two M12 bolts, the wider side out. In some mowers, the vertical element of the skid was symmetrically welded, which automatically made the skid a universal skid, without distinguishing between the left and right sides.

How to distinguish a skid from the right from the left?

The flail mower skid is a skid whose vertical element with holes for fastening bolts is not symmetrically welded. The right skid is a skid whose wider part protrudes beyond the housing on the right side when looking at the mower, standing in the place where the mower is attached with its back to the tractor (standing between the tractor and mower). The left skid is a skid whose wider part of the skid protrudes beyond the housing on the left side when looking at the mower, standing in the place where the mower is attached with its back to the tractor (standing between the tractor and the mower).
