Piston rings (piston 1G826-21770 , head gasket 1G962-03313 -D902) with an external diameter of 72 mm and a total height of 56.30 mm for tractors and other Kubota machines of the Kubota BX25, Kubota BX2350D, Kubota KX018, Kubota KX41, Kubota KX41- series 3, Kubota RTV900, Kubota U17, Kubota ZD323 with Kubota D902 engines.

Piston rings seal the space between the piston walls and the cylinder walls. During combustion of the fuel mixture in the engine compartment, chemical energy is exchanged for mechanical energy, which is why we care about the tightness of these two elements. The second important role that piston rings play in an engine is to scrape excess oil from the cylinder walls during piston movement, thus ensuring adequate lubrication. There are three basic types of rings in combustion engines:

• sealing rings,
• scraper rings,
• compression and scraper rings.

When replacing the rings, pay special attention to the order in which they are placed on the piston. We install the rings in the appropriate order, install the scraper ring first, the sealing ring second and the oil ring third.

• The first signs of piston ring wear include: higher fuel consumption, loss of engine oil, loss of power, black smoke from the exhaust pipe of a hot engine, uneven engine operation at idle speed, unnatural, easily audible sound from the engine area, loss of power, problems with starting the engine. All symptoms should be consulted with a professional service in order to properly diagnose and check the engine for the need to replace the rings or overhaul the engine.
