AL-KO 518 petrol scarifier
Scarifier, which is the best way to scarify your lawn
Every lawn needs scarification. Preferably twice a year - in spring and autumn, so that they can get enough air to breathe. The scarifier's steel blades penetrate the soil surface and completely remove felt, moss and plant debris from the lawn. Scarifying should be followed by lawn fertilization, supplementary sowing and intensive irrigation. These treatments improve the uptake of nutrients by the soil as well as water and accelerate the growth of the grass.
Precision and perfect workmanship
The AL-KO 518 scarifier is equipped with 15 steel knives, thanks to which the device is precise and accurate. The AL-KO 518 model is a dual-purpose device, as it is both an aerator and a scarifier. Aeration is the aeration of the lawn to make the soil more resilient, which of course results in better grass growth. Scarification, on the other hand, is a process that aims to remove mosses and disturb the so-called felt, i.e. the layer of grass that is formed as a result of regular mowing. It is worth noting that frequent and systematic scarification has a very positive effect on the soil, the uptake of nutrients by the grass, and stimulates the lawn to even better tillering. The manufacturer of this model is the renowned and well-known German company AL-KO.
AL-KO KOBER GROUP is a company with over 80 years of tradition, whose operations are currently continued in the third generation. Comfort, pleasure and safety are the pillars of customer satisfaction. AL-KO Kober is a leading German manufacturer of garden and forest equipment.
The company, founded in Bavaria in 1931, was initially a small forge, which in 1952, as the company developed, began serial production of lawn mowers and chassis for caravans. In 1975, AL-KO made its production debut in the aviation industry.
Currently, AL-KO has representative offices all over the world and employs over 1,500 people, and in 2017 the company achieved sales exceeding EUR 300 million. Solo by AL-KO is a product jointly produced by the German company as a result of the takeover of the Austrian engine manufacturer SOLO, whose factories are located mainly in Austria.
