The engine oil filter is a very important element of the lubrication system and its main task is to clean the oil circulating in the engine system from organic and mineral impurities. The metal oil filter , screw-on is a filter whose main task is to remove the smallest impurities from the oil, even 1/50 mm in size . The construction of the filter is very simple and consists of a metal can with a thread and a paper insert inside arranged in a so-called accordion to increase the filtration surface. Contamination of the oil for which we use the filter is most often caused, in the case of organic contaminants, by the decomposition of the oil itself during operation, from fuel residues or are by-products of oxidation.
