Crankshaft with main journal with a diameter of 44 mm for Kubota tractors with Kubota D902 engines.
The crankshaft is a key element of the internal combustion engine, responsible for converting the reciprocating motion of the pistons into rotary motion that powers the vehicle. In four-stroke engines , the crankshaft is usually hollow, which allows for effective lubrication of the big end bearing and main journals using engine oil, which is pressed under pressure. In two-stroke engines, which are often lubricated with a fuel-oil mixture, the crankshaft has a solid design, which allows for the installation of rolling bearings at the main and crank journals. The shafts in two-stroke diesel engines are constructed in a way similar to the shafts of four-stroke engines, i.e. they are hollow, which promotes their effective lubrication.
