The clutch disc is the component responsible for transmitting power from the engine (crankshaft) to the gearbox (clutch shaft) or PTO/PTO shaft. The disc consists of a splined hub mounted on the clutch shaft and a disc with springs and appropriately thick friction linings. The disc, pressed by the second clutch element, the pressure plate, uses the friction force (the lack of friction during power transfer) of these two elements to set the tractor in motion. The springs in the clutch discs are responsible for reducing vibrations generated during high engine speeds.
