The three-point linkage is a combination of a tractor and an agricultural machine and is a special system of elements that allows lifting, transporting and setting the appropriate position in relation to the ground and the tractor, agricultural machinery and equipment. Hydraulically controlled three-point suspension system (3-point linkage for short), as the name suggests, is a connection of an agricultural machine with a tractor at three points, i.e. on two hydraulically lifted beams connected to the so-called plowshares. cable (right left side) and a centrally located connector, the so-called Roman screw. What is the tractor's three-point linkage used for?:

• for lifting and transporting agricultural machines and equipment,
• to determine the appropriate working depth or height of the agricultural machine or device,
• for transporting machines and devices,
• to stabilize machines and devices during transport.

How does the tractor's three-point linkage work?

The hydraulically operated rear linkage suspension system consists of an actuator, pump, safety valve and hydraulic distributor. The operation of the three-point linkage system is directly controlled by pressurized hydraulic oil flowing through the system, controlled and operated by an actuator and a hydraulic distributor. The hydraulic cylinder (one- or two-way) is responsible for raising the system (and lowering the two-way cylinder), the hydraulic pump is responsible for creating the appropriate pressure in the system, the safety valve is a fuse that reduces the pressure in the system when the maximum possible lifting weight is exceeded, and the hydraulic distributor is a device controlling the oil flow in the system. The operation of the three-point linkage is directly controlled by pressurized hydraulic oil flowing through the system, controlled and operated by an actuator and a hydraulic distributor.

The lower links of the linkage most often have a ball end, but in modern systems, manufacturers use more universal hook ends. The three-point linkage suspension system can be used both at the rear and at the front of the tractor. Three-point linkage slings differ in the length of the lower arms, the diameter of the ball holes and the length of the hangers, and before purchasing, you should carefully measure the distance from the lower arm mounting pins to the appropriate distance behind the tractor tire.
