What is the 3-point hitch Cat I?

The three-point hitch is a combination of a tractor with an agricultural machine and it is a special arrangement of elements, thanks to which it is possible to lift, transport and set the appropriate position relative to the ground and the tractor, agricultural machines and devices. Hydraulically controlled three-point linkage (3-point linkage for short) as the name suggests, is a connection of an agricultural machine with a tractor at three points, i.e. on two hydraulically lifted beams connected to the so-called plowshares. a tie rod (right left side) and a centrally located connector, the so-called Roman screw. What is the tractor's three-point linkage used for?:

• for lifting and transporting agricultural machinery and equipment,
• to determine the appropriate working depth or height of the agricultural machine or device,
• for transporting machines and devices,
• to stabilize machines and devices during transport.

How does the tractor's three-point hitch work?

The hydraulically operated rear linkage system consists of a cylinder, pump, safety valve and hydraulic distributor. The operation of the three-point linkage system is ensured by the pressurized hydraulic oil flowing directly through the system, controlled and operated by an actuator and a hydraulic distributor. The hydraulic cylinder (single- or double-acting) is responsible for raising the system (and lowering the double-acting cylinder), the hydraulic pump is responsible for creating the appropriate pressure in the system, the safety valve is a safety device that reduces the pressure in the system after exceeding the maximum possible lifting weight, and the hydraulic distributor is a device controls the flow of oil in the system. The operation of the three-point linkage is ensured by the pressurized hydraulic oil flowing directly through the system, controlled and operated by an actuator and a hydraulic distributor.

The Cat I three-point linkage set is dedicated to Iseki tractors and mines and consists of :

• lower arms x 2 (lasts),
• upper connector (turnbuckle),
• hangers (connection of the lower arms of the lift with the upper ones, the so-called lifting arms) x 2,
• lower arm chains x 2,
• lower arm mounting bracket.

The lower three-point linkage arms most often have a ball end, but in modern systems manufacturers use more universal hook ends.
