An alternator is a device that converts mechanical energy into direct and alternating current, which powers the tractor's electrical system , including the battery. The alternator produces electricity only when the engine is running and is driven by a kino belt. The first signs of alternator damage are the so-called battery charging indicator light that does not go out, flashes or does not light up at all when the tractor engine spark plugs are heated. However, if the light comes on while the tractor is running, it may indicate incorrect voltage supplied by the alternator to the battery.
