The engine piston is a moving element responsible for converting gas and energy produced during combustion into the crankshaft, i.e. into engine power. The piston is connected to the crankshaft by an element called a connecting rod with pin connections. At the top of the piston there are ring channels for mounting the piston rings, and in the middle there is a hub for connection with the connecting rod. At the top there is the so-called bottom, which may have a different shape depending on the type of engine.
