Thermostat for Kubota tractors, dimensions 43 x 40 mm, opening temperature 71°C, fits tractors of the Kubota brand and others.
The coolant thermostat is one of the most important components of the cooling system and is responsible for monitoring and regulating the temperature of the coolant. The thermostat is a device that reacts to elevated temperature, and its correct operation keeps the temperature required for the most efficient engine performance. When the coolant temperature rises to a certain level, the thermostat "opens" under the influence of heat, letting the coolant flow into the second circuit (the radiator), which allows the coolant to be cooled effectively, and in turn the engine.

Engine overheating or very slow warm-up of the engine to the correct operating temperature are the most visible symptoms of a faulty thermostat. A thermostat failure in the closed position causes engine overheating and is very dangerous for the engine, so when the coolant temperature warning light comes on, you should stop work as soon as possible and switch off the engine. A less dangerous situation is when the thermostat fails in the open position, because the coolant circulating in the large circuit causes the engine to not warm up fully; this failure is less dangerous for the engine, but in the longer term it also has an adverse effect and is harmful to the engine.
