B-850 drive belt with a pitch length (Ld) of 8.50 mm , width of 17 mm and height of 11 mm for agricultural and other machines.

A standard V-belt is marked with two length values Ld and Li. The length Li is the internal length, and the length Ld is the so-called pitch length, according to the ISO standard, in great simplification it can be called the external length, but it is the length measured at the strongest structural point of the belt. V-belt markings are most often a capital letter of the alphabet denoting the belt cross-section (mm) Z, A, B, C, D and lengths. The simplest division of belts available on the market is narrow-section belts, classic, narrow-section toothed and classic toothed.

A V-belt is an element that is used to transfer drive from an engine or transmission to an accessory or device. V-belts are most often used to drive an alternator, coolant pump or compressor, and in agriculture, belts are used in agricultural devices and equipment that are subject to high rotational speeds. V-belts are the most frequently worn parts of agricultural machinery due to the material they are made of and damage resulting from overloads during machine operation. A worn V-belt should be replaced with a new one as soon as possible to prevent an accident or damage to the machine. An incorrectly fitted V-belt or incorrectly set tensioner, too low or too high V-belt tension can cause faster wear. The first signs of V-belt wear (e.g. belt stretching) are a decrease in machine power or an unnatural sound during operation.
