Engine piston (head gasket MM409-815) with a nominal STD (standard) outer diameter of 76 mm for Mitsubishi tractors of the Mitsubishi MT2501 series and others. The engine piston is a moving element responsible for converting gas and combustion energy into the crankshaft, and thus into engine power. The piston is connected to the crankshaft by a connecting rod with pin connections. At the top of the piston are annular channels for mounting the piston rings, and in the center is a hub for connecting to the connecting rod. At the top is the so-called crown, which can have different shapes depending on the engine type. Due to the very harsh operating conditions, engine pistons are most often made of aluminum and silicon alloys.
