Tachometer cable, cable insert 1200 mm - Iseki/Mitsubishi

Counter cable without casing , total length 1200 mm, with a loose end for self-crimping and a square pressed end on the other end, for Japanese tractors of the Mitsubishi, Iseki and other brands.

The tachometer cable is designed to indicate the current value of the engine speed, tractor speed and the operating hours. This is possible thanks to the counter cable, which connects a special mini gearbox with the counter on the tractor's dashboard. The flexible rotating cable placed in the casing transfers the revolutions to the counter magnet, which also rotates. The rotating magnet generates a magnetic field that rotates the drum with an attached pointer indicating the current rotation speed and the number of operating hours.

The counter cable rotates in the casing at a relatively low speed and therefore the speed indication may not be precise with an error tolerance of +/- 20 km/h. The counter cable, like any other tractor element, should be kept in good condition and properly lubricated and maintained. The first sign of cable damage is a lack of response, vibrations of the pointer while the engine is running.
