What is a spacer sleeve?

A spacer sleeve ( sleeve ) is an element whose main task is to maintain a specific, set distance between individual parts, elements or sets of parts in a mechanical structure. In addition to maintaining a given part in a specific position, the spacer sleeve is responsible for heat transfer (absorption) in engines and mechanical devices and resistance to high temperatures and chemicals.
