A sweeper, as the name suggests, is designed to remove dirt from surfaces such as roads, squares, sidewalks, areas covered with asphalt, paving stones or concrete. Sweepers can be used in the municipal, agricultural and construction industries. Additionally, they can be used in winter after dismantling the basket as a snow blower to get rid of the layer of accumulated snow. These are very universal machines, making it easier to keep clean, allowing for efficient and fast work. On the market, we can find sweepers dedicated to a tractor (TUZ) or a forklift, as well as to backhoe loaders equipped with forks.
The 150 cm sweeper with a 4FARMER basket for a forklift or a backhoe loader is mounted on the forks using special brackets. It is hydraulically driven and has its own pump that powers the cleaning shaft (a hydraulic connection from a forklift or other machine is required). The working width of this model is 150 cm.
The cleaning mechanism is a roller on which dense polypropylene bristles are placed. It is driven by power transmitted from the pump. The sweeper is equipped with a basket placed behind the roller. The roller rotates, removing dirt, collecting it in the basket. This container is opened hydraulically using a hydraulic actuator.
The effective work of the backhoe loader/forklift sweeper is ensured by the guide wheels, which allow for the proper adjustment of the sweeper to the surface on which we are working. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a support wheel, which makes it easier to guide the machine. It should be remembered that too much pressure of the bristles on the cleaned surface will cause excessive wear.
The side brush is placed on an adjustable arm, it sweeps dirt from surfaces and nooks, where the sweeper shaft cannot reach. Most often these are places near curbs, walls, shelves. The side brush is mounted on the right side of the sweeper .
A noteworthy advantage is the reaction of the brush when it encounters an obstacle - the brush retracts and then returns to its original position after bypassing the obstacle. A properly set side brush (brush front) should be slightly tilted forward. Properly setting the height and angle of the side brush will increase the effectiveness of sweeping and reduce excessive brush wear.
