A roller is one of the basic agricultural tools used to press, level, and break up clods of earth. Often used in gardening at the initial stage of establishing gardens and preparing the soil for sowing grass.

The smooth field roller, despite its simple construction and uncomplicated operation, plays a very important role in soil cultivation. The basic task of the pressing roller is to compact and level the soil before sowing. Superficial compaction of the soil causes the seeds to adhere more to the ground, which causes even, faster germination of seeds, and consequently faster plant growth.

Smooth roller WG3 180 cm 4FARMER

The 4FARMER smooth field roller is a machine with a working width of 180 cm and a diameter of 40 cm. It is designed for tractors and mini tractors with a 3-point linkage Cat I. Cat II and Cat III. The roller can be filled with liquid. The roller itself is made of thick sheet metal, which significantly extends its durability and makes it more resistant to mechanical damage, it is mounted on a solid frame, and is also equipped with a support.

The roller is equipped with replaceable pins with a diameter of 22 mm Cat I as standard, therefore it is possible to replace them with pins with a larger diameter.

It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear.
