The glow plug module, also called a relay or controller, is an electronic device that determines the duration of the glow plug heating in our tractor. The relay monitors and manages the operation of the glow plugs, using temperature data from a sensor located in the engine. A properly functioning glow plug heating module is essential for proper engine start-up, especially at low temperatures. The controller with a built-in microcontroller, using information from the sensors, determines the parameters that determine correct glow plug heating, i.e. determines the time and intensity of the current that flows to the glow plugs and thus raises their temperature, heats them to the required value needed to start the engine. The glow plug heating sensor is most often activated by moving the key in the ignition.
