What is a directional clutch?

The clutch is designed to instantly disconnect the transmission shafts to prevent damage or failure of the machine, device or tractor. Overload clutches are present in all branches of industry and differ from each other in the method of assembly and the type of connector and the limit value of the torque, and most importantly, the directional clutch after completing the task (disengagement of the drive after too much load) is not damaged.

The main task of the one-way PTO/PTO overrunning clutch is torque transmission as well as connecting and disconnecting drive shafts. One-way clutch is widely used in agriculture. Machines and devices that use the PTO shaft rotate at very high speeds. For the safety of the machine and the tractor, a PTO/PTO shaft adapter with a clutch is used as protection.

When do we use a one-way clutch?

Japanese tillers of various manufacturers and brands where the adapter can be installed both between the PTO shaft of the tractor or the PTO shaft and the device. During the operation of the device, there may be a change in the direction of rotation or a sudden undesirable stop of the machine, and at this point our clutch disengages and works in idle mode without the need to disengage the PTO shaft drive in the tractor.

Before each use of the adapter, it is recommended to properly lubricate it through the calipers attached to the adapter .
