Engine piston rings (piston 6-23-100-12) with a diameter of 87 mm and a thickness of 2.00 x 2.00 x 2.00 mm for Kubota tractors of the Kubota DC70, Kubota L5018 series, with Kubota V2403 engines and others.
Piston rings seal the space between the piston and cylinder walls. During combustion of the fuel mixture in the engine chamber, chemical energy is exchanged for mechanical energy, which is why the tightness of these two components is crucial. Another important role of piston rings in an engine is to wipe excess oil from the cylinder walls during piston movement, ensuring proper lubrication. There are three basic types of rings in combustion engines:
When replacing the rings, pay particular attention to the order in which they are positioned on the piston. Install the rings in the correct order: the oil control ring first, the compression ring second, and the oil seal ring third.
