Product description

4FARMER BX62R disc chipper with hydraulic feeding

The 4FARMER BX62R is a reinforced disc chipper designed for intensive shredding of branches, limbs, and tree trunks. The machine can shred material up to 15 cm in diameter, and for branches with offshoots, the maximum diameter can be up to 30 cm.

The BX62R model is equipped with an independent hydraulic system with its own pump and oil tank, as well as two hydraulically driven pinion shafts that automatically feed material. This solution simplifies the operator's work and allows for efficient feeding of subsequent branches to the cutting unit.

Reinforced construction and large cutting disc

The BX62R is equipped with a massive cutting disc with a diameter of 740 mm and a thickness of 25 mm. Its weight is approximately 70 kg, allowing the disc to accumulate significant rotational energy during operation, which is used to cut the material.

The disc features four double-sided, sharpened cutting knives measuring 240 x 60 mm. The double-sided working edges allow for use on both sides of the knife, extending its service life.

The knives are made of hardened CR12 tool steel. An additional counterblade, mounted on the disc guard, coordinates with the knives. The cutting unit is designed so that the energy from the accelerating disc supports the cutting process and reduces the load transferred to the tractor's drive system.

Breakers and chip ejection

The rear of the disc features chippers and discharge blades that aid in further material crushing and efficient chip transport towards the discharge chute. The resulting material is approximately 20–60 mm in size. Additional disc ventilation aids material discharge and the operation of the cutting unit during the chopping process.

Hydraulic feed rollers

The chipper features two hydraulically driven toothed feed rollers. Their function is to automatically pick up branches and feed them towards the disc. The feed system utilizes a dedicated hydraulic pump located within the machine, along with an oil tank. This provides the chipper with an independent hydraulic system responsible for the feed mechanism. The operator has access to a 10-step feed speed adjustment, allowing the operator to adjust the work rate to the type and thickness of the material. The system also features a reverse function to remove branches if they become jammed.

PTO drive

The chipper is powered directly from the tractor via a power take-off shaft (PTO). The machine is designed for tractors with a power output of 30 HP or higher, and the recommended rated PTO speed is 540–1000 rpm. The PTO shaft is equipped with a shear pin overload protection. If excessive load occurs, the pin shears, interrupting the power transmission and protecting the system from the effects of overload.

360° throw rotation

The discharge chute can rotate 360° around the chipper's base, allowing the operator to direct the stream of chips in any desired direction without having to reposition the entire machine. The discharge chute is 188 cm high. The kit also includes a 30 cm discharge chute extension, which increases the ability to direct the chips during operation.

Installation on the three-point linkage

The 4FARMER BX62R is equipped with a three-point linkage (TUZ), allowing the chipper to be connected directly to the tractor's rear linkage. The machine's design also allows it to be transported by folding the feed hopper, reducing the chipper's overall dimensions.

Easy maintenance

Bearings and other components requiring regular lubrication are equipped with easily accessible grease nipples. Bearing protection reduces the risk of dust and small material residues entering the bearings. Regular lubrication of the points specified by the manufacturer is an essential element of proper machine operation.

Questions & Answers

How to choose a plow for the power of my mini tractor?

User
Traktor.com.pl Expert – Technical Advisor • 17.02.2026
Correct selection of a plow for the power and weight of the tractor is key to effective plowing and protection of the drive system against overload. It is assumed that for each plow body (furrow) with a width of approx. 20-25 cm, a mini tractor should have a power of 8 to 12 HP, depending on the soil compactness. For machines with 15-20 HP, the optimal solution is usually a single-furrow plow, while units over 22-25 HP with 4x4 drive can handle a light two-furrow plow. It is also important to set the plowing depth and the pull point, which allows for maintaining a straight path without the need for constant steering correction. Robust agricultural equipment from brands such as Geograss or TRX has been designed to minimize the resistance offered by the soil, which directly translates into lower fuel consumption. Remember that a plow that is too large will cause excessive wheel slip and may lead to premature clutch wear. Before purchasing, always check the three-point linkage (TUZ) lifting capacity of your tractor to ensure the machine safely lifts the tool in the transport position.

What are the types of rototillers and which one will be best for my garden?

User

The choice of the right rototiller depends primarily on the type of planned work and the condition of the soil in your garden. A standard mounted rototiller installed on a three-point linkage (TUZ) is ideal for seasonal soil loosening and mixing with fertilizers. If you are establishing a new lawn on difficult, weed-infested terrain, the best choice will be a stone burier (separation rototiller), which, thanks to the reverse rotation of the blades, buries stones and plant residues deep under a layer of clean, sifted soil. For professional orchardists, a side rototiller (inter-row) is dedicated, allowing for precise cultivation right next to tree trunks. Regardless of the model, the heart of the machine is a durable angle gearbox and hardened cutting blades, which must be regularly checked for sharpness and tightness. The correct PTO speed (standard 540 rpm) ensures an optimal granular structure of the soil, which promotes better aeration and water retention. By investing in high-quality cultivation machinery, you can be sure that the preparation of the ground for crops will be fast, thorough, and will not excessively strain your compact tractor.

When is it worth using a flail mower instead of a rotary one?

User
Traktor.com.pl Expert – Technical Advisor • 17.02.2026
The key advantage of a flail mower (so-called mulcher) is its ability to work in extremely difficult conditions where a regular mower could fail. If you need to clear wasteland, tall grass, thickets, and even small branches in an orchard, a rear-mounted flail mower will be unrivaled. Equipped with heavy hammer-type flails, this machine not only cuts vegetation but also shreds it very thoroughly, leaving natural fertilizer on the surface in the form of mulch. This is a much safer solution in stony areas because the housing design holds debris inside the device. On the other hand, a standard rotary mower is better for well-kept lawns where an aesthetic appearance is desired. When choosing a tractor mower, pay attention to the working width – it should be slightly wider than the machine's wheelbase to avoid trampling uncut grass. Models from brands like Stark or Geograss also offer hydraulic shift, which facilitates maneuvering under tree canopies and near fences, making the Japanese mini tractor an even more versatile tool.
