What is a cultivator?
A field cultivator for a tractor is an agricultural tool consisting of a frame on which working elements are placed, the so-called teeth or claws, and support wheels that are used to adjust the working depth of the cultivator, and a 3-point suspension system Cat I. The working unit of the cultivator is spring tines semi-spring or completely rigid, depending on the model and manufacturer, with coulters, goose feet or knives. Cultivators often end with a string roller that levels the worked soil.
What is the cultivator for?
The cultivator with a string roller is used to loosen the soil without turning it over.
Cultivation is also performed in order to: level the soil after plowing and prepare it for sowing, loosen and get rid of troublesome weeds. The advantage of the cultivator is the fact that it does not tear the removed weeds causing their additional spreading, but only gently pulls them all to the top, where after drying we can collect and remove them.
