Three-point linkage

The three-point hitch is a system used in agricultural tractors to connect and operate various agricultural implements and machines. The three-point hitch allows for stable mounting and lifting of equipment such as ploughs, cultivators, seeders and other implements, which makes field work easier.

Components of the three-point linkage (TUZ):

• Lower arm(s): Two arms mounted on either side of the tractor. These are the main attachment points for implements.
• Upper Arm (Upper Arm, Upper Link): The central arm that stabilizes the tool and allows for adjustment of the angle of attack.
• Hooks and Pins: Fasteners that connect the implement to the lower and upper arms.
• Hydraulic system: Hydraulic system that allows the lifting and lowering of implements. Consists of hydraulic cylinders and a hydraulic pump.
• Stabilizers: Elements that prevent the implement from moving sideways.

Functions and advantages of three-point linkage:

• Easy tool connection and disconnection: The system allows tools to be attached quickly and efficiently, reducing preparation time.
• Stability: Three-point suspension ensures tool stability during operation.
• Adjusting the working angle and depth: The upper arm allows you to adjust the angle of attack of the tool, which affects work efficiency.
• Versatility: The three-point linkage allows the use of a wide range of agricultural implements with one tractor.
• Increased control: Hydraulics allow you to precisely raise and lower implements, making it easier to maneuver and work in a variety of terrain conditions.

Application:

The three-point hitch is widely used in agriculture, allowing for a variety of tasks, such as:

• Ploughing: Using plows.
• Sowing: Thanks to seed drills.
• Cultivation: Using cultivators and harrows.
• Mowing: Using a lawn mower.
