Product description
Thanks to the capabilities of modern agricultural machinery and technological advancements, lawn care and seedbed preparation are becoming less burdensome and more automated. For owners of larger cultivated areas or gardening businesses, agricultural machinery is invaluable, allowing them to save time and achieve greater work efficiency.
To enjoy a beautiful, dense lawn or a bountiful harvest of vegetables and fruit, proper soil preparation is crucial. This work primarily aims to ensure that the soil is loose, not too compacted, but not too light. It also requires adequate moisture and aeration. Providing the right amount of nutrients to ensure proper plant growth is crucial. These nutrients include the humus content of the soil.
Proper preparation for such work is essential for success. Unfortunately, preparing the ground manually takes a lot of time and effort, and can sometimes lead to unexpected complications. This is why more and more people are choosing to purchase a tiller .
How does a tiller work? How does a separating tiller differ from a regular tiller?
A tiller is a machine that, when attached to a tractor, mechanically digs, breaks up, and loosens the soil. Thanks to its operation, we can remove old lawn turf, dig up the soil, remove weeds, and level the ground, preparing it for a new lawn or vegetable crop.
Knives mounted on a rotating shaft cut and crumble soil fragments. The knives in the MZ Separating Tiller rotate in the opposite direction to the tractor's travel. A crucial element of the tiller's design are the stone-separating rods. The rotation of the knives causes the soil to be sifted through the aforementioned rod system, which acts like a sieve, separating larger particles from smaller ones. All the coarser particles, such as stones, sticks, roots, and larger clods of earth, land on the first lower layer of soil and are buried by the crushed, properly prepared subsoil.
The rear roller of the separating tiller allows us to regulate the working depth of the machine, simultaneously producing a leveled and compacted soil ready for further cultivation. This is a major advantage of the separating tiller and how it differs from a standard tiller.
The main use of the separation roller is to help with establishing lawns, it is also an ideal tool for leveling previously disturbed soil.
What else makes the MZ Professional separating tiller stand out?
This machine has the ability to move slightly laterally , allowing for additional precision in positioning the machine behind the tractor. Tillers use a chain drive, which requires a PTO shaft with a safety device, such as a breakaway wedge or clutch, to protect the tractor's gears and the machine's transmission.
The MZ Professional 4FARMER separating tiller features a robust housing made of thick sheet metal, a reinforced main shaft, a thick chain, and an increased number of longer-than-standard blades. This allows for greater depths of work. The hinged hatch feature makes it easier to keep the machine clean and provides better access to the main shaft and the blade axle.
Above the hinged flap, two shock-absorbing elements are located on both sides of the machine. If a large stone or clod of earth gets under the tines, these elements protect the upper surface of the tiller from impact with the rising moving part of the machine.
All this translates into even greater machine durability and thoroughly prepared soil. It's ideal for municipal services and professional gardening.
