An O -ring is a type of circular seal and comes in a wide variety of sizes and diameters. The main task of an o-ring is to seal in areas where there is no high pressure, but also in areas subject to high pressures. The O-ring seal under the influence of high pressure acquires liquid-like properties (surface tension, plasticity, etc.), which gives very good sealing properties. O-ring sealant is also resistant to high temperature during operation and the selection of the appropriate one depends on its intended use and the material from which it was made. The O-ring seal in high-pressure equipment requires the use of a special support ring.
