A module, relay or controller is an electronic device that decides, among others: about the duration of heating the glow plugs in the tractor, the operation of turn signals, wipers and others. The Relay monitors and manages the operation of the spark plugs, using temperature data from a sensor located in the engine. A properly functioning candle heating module is necessary for proper engine starting, especially at low temperatures. The Controller with a built-in micro controller, using information from sensors, determines the parameters that determine the correct heating of the candles and others, i.e. it determines the time and current that flows to the candles and thus raises their temperature and heats them to the required value needed to start the engine. The sensors are also responsible for the operation of wipers, turn signals and many other tractor components and are most often activated by the movement of the key in the ignition.

It's best to read the markings on the side of the old V-belt. If they are illegible, measure the belt width and its outer length (La). On Shibaura and Hinomoto tractors, it's important to regularly check the belt tension – too loose a belt will cause slippage and faster wear, while too tight a belt can cause alternator or water pump bearing failure.
