Product description

Engine piston (rings 6-26-100-58) with an outer diameter of 85 mm and a total height of 91 mm for Shibaura tractors of the Shibaura SD2640D series with Shibaura LEM853 engines and others. The engine piston is a moving element responsible for converting gas and energy generated during combustion to the crankshaft, i.e. further into engine power. The piston is connected to the crankshaft by an element called a connecting rod with pin connections. At the top of the piston there are ring channels for mounting the piston rings, in the middle there is a hub for connecting to the connecting rod. At the top there is a so-called bottom, which, depending on the type of engine, may have a different shape. Due to work in very difficult conditions, engine pistons are most often made of aluminum and silicon alloys.

Questions & Answers

Why is regular filter replacement (oil, air, fuel) crucial for a mini tractor?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
Regular filter replacement is the easiest way to extend the life of an engine from brands like Kubota or Yanmar. The oil filter removes metallic contaminants generated during operation, the air filter protects the cylinders from field dust, and the fuel filter prevents water and dirt from damaging the precision injection system. We recommend replacing filters every 50-100 operating hours or at least once per season to ensure optimal engine performance.

How to properly select and sharpen mower blades for a Japanese tractor?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
When selecting mower blades, consider the mower deck model and the blade length and center bore diameter. Maintaining blade balance is crucial when sharpening – an unbalanced blade causes vibrations that damage the hub bearings. Remember that sharp blades mean healthier grass, a cleaner cut, and less strain on the engine of your Iseki or Mitsubishi tractor.

How to identify the correct V-belt size and how to care for it?

User
Ekspert Traktor.com.pl – Doradca techniczny • 17.02.2026
It's best to read the markings on the side of the old V-belt. If they are illegible, measure the belt width and its outer length (La). On Shibaura and Hinomoto tractors, it's important to regularly check the belt tension – too loose a belt will cause slippage and faster wear, while too tight a belt can cause alternator or water pump bearing failure.
