The piston rings seal the space between the walls of the piston and the walls of the cylinder. During the combustion of the fuel mixture in the engine compartment, chemical energy is exchanged into mechanical energy, which is why we care about the tightness of these two elements. The second important role of the piston rings in an engine is to scrape excess oil from the cylinder walls as the piston moves, thereby ensuring proper lubrication. There are three basic types of rings in internal combustion engines:

• sealing rings,
• scraper rings,
• compression-scraper rings.

When replacing the rings, pay special attention to the order in which they are arranged on the piston. We put the rings in the correct order, we put the scraper ring first, the second sealing ring and the first sealing ring are the third.

these are signals that it's time to replace the rings. All these symptoms should be consulted with a professional service for a proper diagnosis and checking the engine in terms of the need to replace the rings or overhaul the engine.
