A pin is one of the most common ways to connect (not rigidly) elements, accessories or a set of parts. A pin connection is most often a cylinder made of a hard material resistant to damage and temperature, which, depending on the application, can be loosely or tightly fitted with a second element closing the connection, e.g. a shackle, a screw with a "U" type handle or a mounting plate and most often closed with a pin placed in the pin hole or a locking nut.
