Seeger ring, with steering column shaft retaining ring for LS Tractors LS XP7.101, LS Xu6168, MT5, MT7 series and others.
A snap ring is called a circlip , after the company that first patented its invention. A circlip is a component of a mechanical system that is installed to prevent movement of moving parts or machine parts. Bearings, bushings, and gears are placed on shafts and axles and, unsecured by circlips, can be subjected to axial displacement. Circlips are divided into two groups: for shafts and pins, and for holes, and they differ in the shape of the mounting holes.
