The gear hydraulic pump is a device responsible for the operation of the rear linkage, hydraulically operated additional equipment, and in modern tractors the hydraulic pump is responsible for the power steering. With the help of a hydraulic pump, we can control additional functions of an agricultural trailer, flail mower, rotary tiller or TUR front loader. The hydraulic pump operates using the tractor's hydraulic system and is powered by the tractor's drive system (e.g. crankshaft). The hydraulic oil pumped to the pump goes to the high pressure regulating valve, where the excess returns to the gearbox and then goes to the main distributor. Some hydraulic pumps may have additional sections to supply oil under increased pressure to the steering system.
