Engine valves are components that are located in the head (overhead valve engine) or engine block (bottom valve engine) and their main task is to properly control the flow of air, fuel-air mixture and exhaust gases. We distinguish two types of valves:
The valves consist of a rod with a plate at the end and are cast in one piece. The engine valves are made of special steel resistant to extremely high temperatures created during fuel combustion, so-called heat-resistant steel.

Engine valves are components that wear out when working in difficult conditions and under the influence of high temperatures. The most common valve damage is valve stem abrasion and carbon deposits. Valve deposits are the result of using low-quality oil, and valve head wear causes leaks in the system and loss of engine power.
