The clutch bearing is also known as a release bearing or thrust bearing and is the only moving element of the clutch system in a tractor engine and moves along the axis of the drive shaft in a sliding motion. When the clutch pedal is pressed, the release bearing presses on the %C5% , causing the pressure plate to lift, i.e. the pressure plate moves away from the friction surface %C5% This allows us to disengage our drive, transferring power from the engine (crankshaft) to the chassis (gearbox drive shaft), i.e. change gear or stop the tractor.
